SolidWorks
Move Assembly
If you have Solidworks Solid Modeling Software, Inplot can control an assembly file so that it can be used to show a machine simulation during plotting of the NC program.
All you have to do is create all the parts of the machine that you want to show and mate them together into an assembly. Also you have to create some extra parts that will be used to drive each axis.
Create one part for each axis and name the length dimension the name of the axis.
Mate the tables and spindle to rails on the base so they can slide back and forth.
Mate one end of the axis part to the table you want it to move, and the other end to the base.
For rotary tables, you can make a pie shaped cutout on the bottom that has a controlling angle dimension. Mate one edge of the pie cutout parallel to the table. To rotate A,B,or C axis, 'Rotary' on the Plotting page in Configuration must be checked.
Dimension Identifier must be 'D1'
Name of Sketch or Feature must be 'Xaxis', or 'Yaxis' or 'Zaxis' ,or 'Axis', or 'Baxis', or 'Caxis'
The filename that the part is saved under must be put in the Configure Tools page.
When 'Move Assembly' is checked in the Configure Tools page, Inplot will send commands to the Solidworks program to change the dimension values of these items that control each axis.
