CAM Tool: Point

This CAM function will move the tool to a point that you pick.

A tool must be loaded first (with either the '(TL' comment in the NC file, or with the Load Tool menu item) for the tool to be displayed.

If the Cursor pick button is down, you can move a picture of the tool around the screen and display the position coordinates. Hold down the left mouse button. As the mouse is moved around in the plot window the tool picture is moved around with it. The position at the crosshair cursor is displayed on the status bar.

With the other pick buttons, you can position the tool to an endpoint, center point, midpoint, etc.

To position the tool tangent to an element, use the other CAM Tools.

Insert the X, Y, or Z value into the editor at the cursor position with the Insert X, Y, or Z buttons.
