DNC Server
Use With
Inplot
Other Features
Using with Inplot:
Inplot is an optional software for editing and plotting CNC programs. There are several features
you can use if you have both. If Inplot (ver 1.5 and higher) and DNC Server (ver 2.8 and higher)
are properly installed, you can use the following features .
Load From Inplot
This will load the text that is in the Inplot editor window into the DNC Server window.
Send To Inplot
This will send the text that is in the DNC Server
window to the Inplot editor window .
DNC From Inplot
DNC Server can have Inplot send it's output to
the serial port. Since Inplot has support for
plotting subprograms, using variables, and
special functions, you could use all these while
sending the program out the serial port. Even
modify each line of text with a script before
outputting it.
When you press this it will read through the program in the Inplot editor starting at the line the
cursor is on, so if you want to start at the beginning of the program make sure you press the
Reset button in Inplot to bring the cursor to the top. All the Inplot configuration settings such as
syntax checking and subprograms will still be active.
Starting DNC Multi-Server from Inplot:
When you are using Inplot you can start up DNC Server right from the Main Menu. Go to File -
DNC, and if DNC Server is installed it will start up and automatically load the text that is in the
edit window into DNC Server. Then you are ready to send.
Inplot Plug-In Menu:
It is also possible to put DNC Server on the plug-in menu. This will allow you to add parameters
to the startup. DNC Server will appear on the Inplot Plug-In menu if you make an entry in the
Plug-In Install dialog with the path/filename to DNC Server. A Parameter of “/I” will automatically
load in the text that is currently in the Inplot editor, ready for you to send it.
